First Day Hike - Run with a Ranger

Run with a Ranger - Ranger-led Hike​

Distance: 1.5 miles​​

Meeting location: Rocky Gap Nature Center

Join Ranger Emily to kick off your year with a run in the great outdoors! All experience levels welcome. Be prepared for trail running, but in case of inclement weather or icy conditions, this run will move to paved surfaces. Stop by the Nature Center are for warm beverages, s'mores, and this year's First Day Hike Sticker! This run is a great way to get involved with Healthy Parks, Healthy People initiatives!

Additional Details:

Surfaces are unpaved, natural surface trails, and can be often uneven, and quite rocky with lots of uphill and downhill traversing. Bathrooms are available at the Nature Center, as well as in the Day Use area of the park. Leashed pets that are comfortable around large groups of people and other pets are welcome.​
