Hike any trail in Palo Duro Canyon State Park on Jan. 1 and show a photo of your hike at Headquarters between 8 am and 4 pm to receive a First Day Hike sticker!
Things you should know:
Meet: Bring your photo to Headquarters between 8 am and 4 pm.
Bring: Comfortable walking/hiking shoes or boots, 1 liter of water per person per mile, and weather appropriate clothing (jackets, etc.).
Cost: Included with admission to the park. Park admission is free with a Texas State Park Pass (purchased before event).
Remember to pay with a self-service envelope at Headquarters or reserve a day pass online before arriving!
