Information on:

Louisville State Recreation Area

The scenic Louisville State Recreation Area has long been popular with eastern Nebraska outdoor enthusiasts and has now become an important adjunct to nearby Platte River State Park. The area boasts an excellent complex for Recreational Vehicles (RVs).

The area is situated on the south bank of the Plate River in Cass County, near the north edge of the community of Louisville on Nebraska Highway 50. It is ideally located for campers who want to enjoy not only this picturesque area itself, but also take advantage of the facilities at Platte River State Park.

I've been going to Louisville State Recreation since I was a little kid. Been taking my family there for the past 20 years. Great place to go fishing, camping, biking, hiking.

I was very unpleased about camping prices for just a tent site they started there summer prices a month early & charge more than anyone else and they charge for showers and all change machine did not work and there park employees only cared about enforcing there government policies. It was like being at the DMV! There all rude as hell. I give this Park Big BOO! I'll never go back again

My family and I just got home from tent camping here for a week and it was wonderful! This is our second stay at this campground and we will definitely be back! Our camp host, Kevin was fantastic! The bathrooms and showers are kept up on.
